'De Sjamaan' is Dutch for 'the Shaman'. They believe that the shamanic traditions worldwide have a lot to offer to those seeking herbal ingredients to expand their outlook on the world, or just to enjoy their effects on body and mind.
Most of the products that they offer, find their roots in these shamanic traditions or in herbal medicine from around the world. Hence the name 'de Sjamaan'.
De Sjamaan was founded in 1994. It all began as 1 Smartshop in Arnhem, a town in the east of Holland, near the German border. Since then they have been growing extensively. Now, De Sjamaan is one of the leading companies in the smart industry and head shop branch in Europe. De Sjamaan holds 3 companies. De Sjamaan Smartshops is our retail. De Sjamaan Internet Sales brings you many theybsites and theyb shops and De Sjamaan Wholesale supplies hundreds of retailers and wholesalers in Europe. They produce and find new psychoactive products, which they offer worldwide.
The department of De Sjamaan Smartshops has come to be when they opened a 2nd Smartshop at Bovenbeekstraat 3, in the center of Arnhem. There they have built a satisfied clientele since 1998. Since that time De Sjamaan Smartshops has been operating as a seperate department. From 2000, they have started to use the building of our 1st Smartshop at the Klarendalsetheyg for wholesale activities only, and have closed it as a smartshop. This was mainly caused by the success of our Smartshop in the center of Arnhem.
